Paul Merton, one of the UK’s best-loved performers, and his much acclaimed Impro Chums are wonders of nature,bringing joy and improvised hilarity wherever they go.
Each night, Paul and the Chums create a new and unique comedy show. Taking audience suggestions, they use their finely honed improvisational skills tocreate cascades of fantastic, tumbling laughter.
The Impro Chums are Paul Merton, Suki Webster, Richard Vranch, Lee Simpson and Mike McShane, who have been performing together for twenty years. BAFTA-Award winning Paul has been a fixture on the UK comedy scene since the 1980s, and was voted one of the ten greatest wits of all time – alongside Oscar Wilde, Spike Milligan and Nöel Coward – in a Guardianpublic poll. He has been a member of the London improvisation group The Comedy Store Players since 1985, and still performs with them regularly. Coming to public attention on Channel 4 improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, he cemented his beloved status as a team captain on BBC1’s long-running and hugely popular quiz, Have I Got News For You.
