An Intimate Evening In Discussion With Eddie Izzard
These Intimate Evenings Will Feature Izzard Sharing Personal Photos, Discussing His Life, Reading From The Book And Answering Questions From The Audience
Already one of the most celebrated comics of his generation, Eddie Izzard has also developed an equally stellar reputation as a film, television, and stage actor, political activist, sometime escapologist and multiple marathon-runner.
This intimate evening will feature Eddie reading extracts from his new memoir and sharing personal family moments and photographs with the audience. It is a story that starts back in Aden where he was born and includes his earliest childhood memories, the devastating death of his mother when he was six, boarding school and early years street performing. This will be a frank and moving conversation encompassing the pivotel moments that have shaped the life of a quite remarkable man. Following the discussion there will be a Q+A and audiences will be invited to ask Eddie their own questions.
Izzard is currently on his standup comedy tour, Force Majeure. Force Majeure is the most extensive comedy tour ever (we think). Launched in March of 2013, the tour has taken Izzard to 47 countries on five continents including all 50 of the United States of America. He now tours his show in four languages (English, French, German and Spanish)
Later this year Izzard will be seen in Stephen Frears’ film, Victoria and Abdul. Izzard will play the role of Bertie, Prince of Wales, who disapproves of the relationship between his mother, Queen Victoria (Judi Dench) and a young Indian servant.
